You will find us at Rasmus Rønnebergs gate 16, the top of Østre Korsehaug (Grimmerhaugen) right in the heart of Ålesund. From the museum it´s only minutes to walk to the cruiseport, buses, shoppingmalls and cafés.
Tickets are purchased at the door. We prefer card. Nearly no one uses cash in Norway.
Adult: 100 kr
Children (6 - 17 years old): 50 kr
Family (2 adults and 2 or more children): 250 kr
Children under 6 years: Free
Groups (from 10 pcs): We charge the prices above, but give guiding if you prefer.
There are a limited number of parking spaces for visitors. We recommend using Aksla Parking. From there it is a short distance from the exit to the museum.
We have no cafe, but since we are located in the middle of the city center, there are many cafes within walking distance.
We are open daily all year
Monday to Friday: 10 am — 3:30 pm
(Saturday and Sunday: 11 am — 3:30 pm)
We have long opening hours from may to september:
Monday to Friday: 9 am to 7 pm
(Saturday and Sunday: 10 am - 4 pm)
The museum has old stairs and not universally designed. Unfortunately it is not adapted for wheelchairs.
