Friends of Aalesunds Museum

The members association Aalesunds Museums Friends has as its purpose, objectives and mission:

• secure the existence of the museum and the foundation, properties, assets, independence and independence by keeping abreast of operations and management.
• Through annual meetings to elect the chairman and board members from among the association's members to the board of the foundation Aalesunds Museum.
• Support and promote the work of Aalesunds Museum.
• Contribute to enthusiasm and inspiration about the history and cultural heritage of Ålesund and the surrounding area, and the museum's work with mapping, collecting, safeguarding, dissemination, professional and scientific research, documentation and more about things of art and cultural historical interest and about business in the past and present.
• Increase and maintain the number of members of the association, including through recruitment campaigns and other outward activities, and membership activities.
• Recruit volunteers to participate in working groups, workshops and other initiatives that benefit the museum and museum properties. ï Bring ideas and input to the Foundation and, in collaboration with museum personnel, participate in activities.
• Bring ideas and input to the foundation, and in collaboration with museum personnel participate in activities.
• The association works with the Foundation's Board of Directors on the goals the museum has set in the current annual plan and long-term plan.
• Collaborate with other teams and organizations whose purpose is to promote historical understanding and development
